I had my son five years ago, naturally — great pregnancy, great birth. When he was about a year and a half we started trying for our second. I tried for a year and nothing was working, so I made an appointment with a fertility doctor. They found a hydrosalpinx, a complete blockage on my right fallopian tube, and recommended surgery to remove the tube. I had the surgery. They told me I could still try naturally with one tube, so I did — a few months, still nothing.

I went back and we started IUI. I did about three rounds and nothing was working. Everything looked great; my follicles looked great. Then my doctor started talking about IVF, and during that appointment he finally reviewed my surgical history — which should have been reviewed before I started IUI — looked at me and said, 'I don't think you will get pregnant naturally with the one tube.' I left there so defeated, and annoyed that this hadn't been discussed beforehand.

I took a two-month break from the medication, from going in every morning for bloodwork and follicle checks. It was a lot. Then my mother-in-law messaged me about an acupuncturist she'd been seeing. She said, 'I told him your story. He doesn't care that you have one tube — he thinks he can help you.' I said okay, I will try anything.

I did two months with Greg, and on the second month I was pregnant. I hadn't seen a positive pregnancy test in well over three years. He explained that my issue was a mechanical one, and just took all my anxiety away. Every time he walked into the room he knew exactly where I was, what we did last time, what we were doing this time.

He was on paternity leave when I found out, so I tracked him down on Instagram because I had to tell him. And here I am, days away from giving birth — that's why I'm out of breath.

I know how scary it can be to be in a fertility journey, and I thought maybe if I shared my story it could help someone.

I remember feeling like getting pregnant was never going to happen for me. I knew I had to make a change, and it was overwhelming — honestly, I felt like I was running out of options. I think so many women in my position feel that way. You get one-word answers, or one way you're supposed to try to conceive, and it becomes scary. I felt stuck, like I had nowhere else to turn.

So I started exploring my options, and then I met Greg. Before meeting him I had so much doubt and fear — am I making the right choice? Is it going to work? Am I wasting my time? That was a big one for me.

I decided to give Greg and his fertility treatment a try. I started going weekly, sometimes twice a week, and every single appointment was positive. Greg made me feel powerful, and hopeful. It was no longer 'is this going to happen?' It was 'when is this going to happen?' I never felt alone. I felt like we were a team. He listened to me, he explained everything to me. Even in the months that were less exciting, when I got bad news, somehow I always felt like it would happen.

Not only did I end up getting pregnant — which will forever be the most amazing thing in my life — he treated me throughout my entire pregnancy, and he finally got my PCOS under control, which had been very much out of control. I was physically taken care of and emotionally taken care of, and that transformed how I felt my whole pregnancy, and after.

The office itself was amazing. I felt like they were my family, like we were all a team and they were rooting for me. I couldn't wait to tell them. When I got pregnant I wrote it in a card and gave it to Greg as a thank you, and everyone there was so excited.

To go from where I started — never thinking it would happen to me — to now, nine years later, with three beautiful children. If you're struggling, as you can see, it really changed my life. You're truly in the best hands.

I just wanted to talk a little bit about my experience seeing Greg for fertility, and how wonderful it was — I would recommend it to any woman who is feeling like they may not be able to conceive, or carry full term.

I had tried to get pregnant for about a year and a half, and after two early-term miscarriages I went to an IVF clinic. I was a little bit jaded with the experience. I'm sure most women would feel the same way. It was something I really didn't want to have to do.

That's when my dad, who had been seeing Greg for many years, told me that he helps women with fertility. So I decided to make an appointment. Greg was right away able to reassure me that this was something that would be possible for me, and calm my nerves. He was able to say: you can get pregnant, but you're having trouble keeping it. That's what he worked on with me — regulating my cycle, and supplements to support egg quality.

I saw him for two cycles, and after two cycles I was able to get pregnant. Now my son is fifteen months old. It was a wonderful experience.

To anyone hesitant about trusting acupuncture for fertility, I would say ten out of ten. I would recommend trying it, and taking that leap of faith like I did. Thanks, Greg.

So it's been prenatal all the way to postnatal, and overall a wonderful experience. Greg is so knowledgeable, so easy to work with, so friendly — great bedside manner. Payton is great too. I'm very happy with my experience.
